The Hex Collective (Jim Driscoll, guitar, Josie Webber, cello) play a mixture of their own songs and tunes, traditional material, and music written to words collected by the railwayman and poet Alfred Williams at the beginning of the twentieth century. Long-standing participants in Oxfordshire’s music scene, Jim was artistic director of Folk Weekend Oxford for several years, and Josie was a member of seminal Oxford folk band Telling the Bees. Expect intricate arrangements, evocative harmonies, and powerful story-telling songs.
