Catherine ’CJ’ Jones is a singer-songwriter & multi-instrumentalist from Canterbury. You can see her performing solo, or in one of her 8 duos/ bands! CJ performs & runs music workshops at many festivals over the UK (eg. New Forest Folk Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, and in Kent – Chickenstock, Sweeps, Broadstairs Folk Week, Sandwich Folk & Ale, Kent VW …. to name but a few)! Apart from running workshops & performing, CJ also runs many open mic nights each month & by day, is a full time music teacher in a school for students with autism. CJ can’t wait for this exciting opportunity to perform at Banbury Folk Club, where (along with some special guests, including Dave Reay on guitar, & Drew on percussion), she will be performing a mixture of covers & originals, taken from her debut album, Passing Through. Although her following is mainly from the South East, CJ has fond & strong connections with Oxfordshire, as she has been a regular performer at the Canal Day & the Women In Music Day events. She also performs each year during Cropredy, at the Wharf. You’ll also see her playing cricket on the Sunday for the Fairport team! CJ looks forward to seeing you there!
