SUMMARY:Bryter Than
DESCRIPTION:Bryter Than are an Indie/folk band comprising Acoustic guitars\, Fiddle\, Mandolin\, Bass and Cajon. A family band at the core with Mat and Helen White\, plus their son\, Geno\, on Piano\, and Millie on Bass. \n“Our name comes from a love of Nick Drake (Bryter Later) and although we don’t sound like him at all it reflects the hopeful nature of our music. Following on from our successful Sunday headline spot at the Banbury Folk Festival it will be lovely to return to the folk club.” – Mat White \n \nSupport is from Rashed.

SUMMARY:The Larks - CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS
DESCRIPTION:Since meeting 17 years ago The Larks\, Liz Miller and Chris Wilbraham\, have developed their sound\, using carefully wrought harmonies\, backed by guitar and mandolin to entertain their audiences. They’ve played festivals such as Ely Folk Festival last year and headline folk clubs local to their native Suffolk\, sometimes venturing further afield\, winning Watford Folk Club’s Songwriting Competition in 2024. Influences are many ( Gillian Welch\, Joni Mitchell. The Smiths\, The Cure\, Anais Mitchell ). Their original songs draw on personal experience and feelings and might speak of a remote Fen Land Railway Station\, a Life Boat Disaster or Climate Change. \n \nSupport from Rashed.
