SUMMARY:The Kevin O'Regan Band
DESCRIPTION:Local group\, The Kevin O’Regan Band is returning to perform at Banbury after a gap of some four years. \nThe Band consists of Kevin O’Regan on guitar and vocals\, Kevin Ward on five string fretless bass and Rai Clews on cajon. Most of the material is original and was written by Kevin O’Regan who reached the finals of the UK Songwriting Contest a few years ago. \nThe Band used to perform regularly in Banbury at the Folk Club\, Folk Festival and at other events and venues but the pandemic\, as with so many things\, has been a major disruption. “We’re so pleased to be back. Banbury Folk Club is a very friendly club which welcomes newcomers and regular audience members alike\,” Kevin commented. \nKevin O’Regan performs solo as well as with the band. Over the last two years\, he has been playing at shows around the UK from Southampton to Cheshire. “This is the only show we’ve got booked in the Banbury area for the time being though we are doing an Irish night at The Albion Bar in Northampton town centre on St Patrick’s night\, 17th March.” Kevin has produced two albums and a DVD\, which are available on his web-site for download or hard copy. He recently published his first novel\, The Dresden Tango\, which is available on Amazon. \nAs his name suggests\, Kevin O’Regan has Irish heritage and some of his songs reflect that. Some of them will be included in the set but. many other songs will be included.” \n \n
