DESCRIPTION:One of our double-header nights. \nThe only constant in Dave Arrowsmith’s life is being a musician. A guitarist since his teens\, he has meandered through blues\, rock\, pop\, country\, funk\, jazz and folk bands\, in venues from your noisy local boozer to festival stages\, most recently with Banbury folk-rockers Leatherat. Alongside that\, discovering song writing and that he had a voice\, Dave has ventured into solo singer-songwriter territory\, bringing his quirky character songs to rather more quiet audiences. \nNick Evans is from Wythall\, Worcestershire and has been a developing guitarist and singer since 1965. That’s a lot of years to hone a craft. He plays mainly covers from an eclectic mix of roots influences from the UK\, Ireland and the USA\, with a handful of self penned songs to his name. Currently resident at the New Crystal Folk Club in Blackheath\, Sandwell\, he appears at other venues regularly and like all of us is relieved to be able to roam post Covid\, although nostalgic about Zoom.
